Agnelli: Buffon Decides His Career
Andrea Agnelli will not discuss Juventus captain Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon at the moment.
The Italian goalkeeper plans to retire after the 2018 World Cup this summer, and his tenure with the Bianconeri ended on 30 June.
“Buffon can come to my office whenever he wants,” Agnelli shrugged at a press conference today after a shareholder meeting.
“But apart from that, he will decide his future.”
Agnelli then asked about foreign investment in Serie A, with Inter and AC Milan now owned by investors from China.
“I know they are at Inter like Suning Group, and they are serious and right people. But I do not really know them so it is unfair to give an assessment. ”
There has been talk of shortening the Serie A transfer window, with the Premier League having decided to stop making transfers when the season starts.
“We talked about it in Monte Carlo in the Europa League draw. This is something that needs to be coordinated. ”
“The Premier League has reduced its window and its goal is to align it among the top five leagues: Italy, Spain, England, France and Germany.”
